Hello, figured it would be nice if you heard from me, so you know I'm not dead and haven't given up on the group, I'm just very slow getting back into the routine of being on here, making art and wading through my inbox
I'd like to share a neat little tutorial on stamp making from a stamp maker of some time now, Kezzi-Rose
It's a simple guide through the various stages of stamp construction, and shows a nice combination of text and original graphics (as I always encourage stamp makers to try and create original content and resist the temptation to paste pre-existing images into stamp templates with no other adornment). For those reading who would like to try making a stamp but find the idea of hand pixelling the stamp teeth daunting, there are a number of good templates to start with on the main group page in the resources module so you have something to start with.
In group related news, I'm still hoping to start monthly contests and more structured features, however I want to make sure that we are actually ready and will have active participants and prizes for the contest to make it worth while doing before we start. I'm also playing around with some group settings to try and bring down the number of expired entries, by allowing fewer votes per submitted piece, however I'm still going to continue screening members for their member applications as I think it's not a lot to ask that you read the rules and therefore include a link to a stamp you've made when applying. There is still an astonishing number of people who submit without doing this so I am thinking of ways to make it more obvious for people how our application process works.
If anyone wants to volunteer time, points or ideas please do feel free to come forward or note me, I'm not that scary and the group will one day thank you for it

Here is a selection of stamps from Kezzi-Rose to get you inspired:
Another stamp maker I'd like to mention is firstfear, she's also coming back to dA recently and is providing some very inspiring stamps using originally made graphics and pixel art. Here's some examples for inspiration:

Change of Pace
Hello, for those who don't know me, you can call me CK, I've been a member of the group for some years now and have always been passionate about stamp making. It's been some time since the group was truly active and I'd like to help bring it back to what it used to be, I have plans for this, however, it's going to also rely on other people contributing, advising and generally being active as well. The key thing to note here is that I've never run a group before, let alone one on this scale, so your patience and understanding will be required if I make mistakes or things are slow to get going :P
Things that come to mind:
- the need to renew
I put Sonic the Hedgehog in the Back Room
Gotta go fast
Edit: We're one off from 2000 watchers, how about that eh?
Group Ideas
Have ideas for the group? Things that we can do, fun things or contests or whatnot?
Looking for Stamp Moderators!

Do you wanna be a part of the Stamp Kingdom?
Then apply to be a Stamp Mod!
But Lumi, what does a Stamp Mod do?
Stamp Mods are responsible for the ongoing care of the group, doing things such as:
- Voting on member applications to the group
- Voting on submissions of stamps to the group
- Possibly compiling stamp features in the future
- Checking up on the galleries to make sure things aren't miscategorized
Sounds cool, how do I become one?
You must send a note to the Group containing these things:
- A link to the rules, so I know you know where the rules are (note
