Hello, for those who don't know me, you can call me CK, I've been a member of the group for some years now and have always been passionate about stamp making. It's been some time since the group was truly active and I'd like to help bring it back to what it used to be, I have plans for this, however, it's going to also rely on other people contributing, advising and generally being active as well. The key thing to note here is that I've never run a group before, let alone one on this scale, so your patience and understanding will be required if I make mistakes or things are slow to get going
Things that come to mind:
- the need to renew the super group status
- the need to re start the monthly stamp making contests, with point prizes and judge(s)
- the need to organise the moderators so that only those who are contributing remain and do so effectively
- the need to consider the voting issues (many things were expiring and only a small few were voting things in)
- the need for more articles about stamp making, including features and tutorials (I'm thinking larger features on a monthly cycle, as opposed to smaller features every fortnight)
What I'd like to know is:
- who is still active and willing to contribute in the running of the group (please do NOT stay just for the fancy title, it's a large group and as such needs active moderators and contributors to run smoothly, there is no shame in admitting that the job isn't for you if you have other priorities)
- any ideas or volunteers to help out with the above objectives (I will be doing my best to contribute points and contests themes etc but I do not believe that every single task of the group should have to come from one person, it's a group effort, as the name implies)
- if there are any other urgent areas that I need to address, such as the chatroom (I have 0 idea of how those work or what is required to maintain them) or access to resources via the front page etc,
Thank you those who are still here and especially those are willing to help contribute to make the group become more active. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, good holidays and look forward to a great New Year. Please leave any questions and interest in contributing in the comments (being specific really helps, e.g. "I am available to help regularly vote in submissions" or "I am able to write a monthly stamp feature").
Oh and don't worry, Lumi is still around

Stamp Kingdom News [Feb/March]
Hello, figured it would be nice if you heard from me, so you know I'm not dead and haven't given up on the group, I'm just very slow getting back into the routine of being on here, making art and wading through my inbox :P
I'd like to share a neat little tutorial on stamp making from a stamp maker of some time now, Kezzi-Rose (https://www.deviantart.com/kezzi-rose)
:bigthumb422589399:
It's a simple guide through the various stages of stamp construction, and shows a nice combination of text and original graphics (as I always encourage stamp makers to try and create original content and resist the temptation to paste pre-existing images into stamp templates with no other ador

Gotta go fast
Edit: We're one off from 2000 watchers, how about that eh?
Group Ideas
Have ideas for the group? Things that we can do, fun things or contests or whatnot?
Looking for Stamp Moderators!
Do you love stamps? (If you don't why are you visiting this group go away)
Do you wanna be a part of the Stamp Kingdom?
Then apply to be a Stamp Mod!
But Lumi, what does a Stamp Mod do?
Stamp Mods are responsible for the ongoing care of the group, doing things such as:
- Voting on member applications to the group
- Voting on submissions of stamps to the group
- Possibly compiling stamp features in the future
- Checking up on the galleries to make sure things aren't miscategorized
Sounds cool, how do I become one?
You must send a note to the Group containing these things:
- A link to the rules, so I know you know where the rules are (note

I see nothing. I do nothing. And this applies to all the dA, not just this group. School and work runs my life.
